Our own Northern California local-boy-made-good is slide guitar master Roy Rogers. Not to be confused with the singing cowboy of the same name, our Roy's motto is "chops not chaps."
He is touring constantly and has released several critically acclaimed albums. He is recognized as one of the best acoustic slide blues players around today. He has been a member of the late John Lee Hooker's band, and has played with heavyweight musicians such as Bonnie Raitt, the Neville Bros. Sammy Hagar, Keith Richards, Charlie Musselwhite, Taj Mahal , the late Miles Davis and many others.
When he's not out playing guitar Roy has a very successful radio show out of Santa Rosa (KRSH 95.9 FM) called Under the Influence that explores the roots of blues and rock and is under consideration for national syndication.
Capoing is a big part of Roy's style and we are glad his capo of choice is a Shubb.
