Shubb Pathfinder Series

Connecting Generations, Honoring Artists, Inspiring the World.

Music transcends boundaries, connecting hearts across cultures and continents. In 2025, Shubb Capos is proud to present the Pathfinder Series, a celebration of groundbreaking artists who have elevated solo fingerstyle acoustic guitar into a universal language of expression.

Individually designed for each artist, these capos embody their unique style, passion, and legacy. They also symbolize the deep bond between players and makers, history and future, and the shared spirit of innovation that defines music.

As these artists bring their music to new horizons, Shubb Capos celebrates the cultural bridges they´ve built and the universal kinship that music creates. The Pathfinder Series is more than a tool; it´s a symbol of connection, creativity, and inspiration, honoring the past while shaping the future.

Luca Stricagnoli – Black Thunder

The Luca Stricagnoli Black Thunder Artist Capo is a tribute to fearless innovation. Finished in sleek black with twin lightning bolts and an intricately engraved portrait—crafted using a challenging new technique developed just for this model-it reflects Luca’s electrifying artistry.

Known for his virtuosic command of double and triple-necked guitars, Luca creates music that’s as visually arresting as it is sonically groundbreaking. A true roadrunner with global energy and an infectious zest for life, Luca embodies the adventurous spirit we celebrate at Shubb.

We’re grateful our paths crossed, and proud to share this special capo—a symbol of pushing boundaries and redefining what’s possible.

Tommy Emmanuel

At Shubb, it’s been our privilege to walk part of the path alongside Tommy Emmanuel— a guitarist whose passion, precision, and joy for music have inspired players around the world. For decades, Tommy has trusted our capos on countless stages, and it’s hard to put into words what that means to us. As he turns 70, we wanted to say thank you the best way we know how: by making something special.

These capos aren’t just tools-they’re tributes. To a career built on mastery. To a legacy connected to Chet Atkins and the CGP tradition. And to our deep appreciation for an artist who continues to blaze a path worth following.

Pierre Bensusan

The triangle has come to symbolize balance, harmony, and interconnectedness. Across cultures, it represents the unity of three elements such as past, present, and future or mind, body, and spirit. In design and philosophy, the triangle’s adaptability makes it a powerful symbol of strength and stability, yet also of movement and transformation. Many cultures see the triangle as a representation of growth, expansion, and the fusion of ideas, making it a fitting metaphor for a global artistic and musical influencer like this pathfinder.

For a musician like Pierre, who blends diverse traditions into a seamless musical language, the triangle patterns and aesthetic design represents the convergence of global sounds, cultures, and experiences. His ability to bridge musical worlds and inspire players worldwide for 50 years is quite unique. This capo is a celebration of that achievement. The brass finish and engraving honor his journey, shining as a symbol of creativity, exploration, and a musical path that continues to inspire across generations.

“I am thrilled to have been using Shubb capos for years, and grateful for them to have designed this wonderful product for the 50th anniversary of my career. I am very much honored for our collaboration and thankful for them to accompany my musical journey with so much support, quality and care.”
