Tom Petty

Tom Petty was one of those high-profile artists who discovered Shubb Capos shortly after they were first introduced. It always made me proud to see that capo on his guitar in those early days. I’d wanted to say thanks for his longtime support, and when I learned that my good friend, Herb Pedersen, was going on tour with Tom, we prepared a special, custom-engraved capo which Herb presented to him.

As it turned out, that tour was his last, as sadly, Tom Petty left us far too early. But his music lives on, and I’m proud to know that my capos played a small part in the crafting of his art.
