Shubb Partial Capos, a perfect tool for song writers and creative guitarists.

Shubb Partial Capos are designed for uniquely inspiring chord voicings. The partial capo does not produce a true open tuning. It does provide a special effect that many creative guitarists find interesting.

C7 – Its most popular use is to apply the capo at the 2nd fret, from the bass side, skipping the 6th string and covering 5-4-3. This emulates DADGAD tuning, but a full step higher.

Another use is to apply the capo at the 2nd fret, from the treble side, skipping the 1st string and covering 2-3-4. This forms an A chord.

C8 – On a six string, steel string guitar this capo will skip the bass string and capo the other five. Applied at the second fret, this will emulate a “drop-D” tuning.

…plus other applications and interesting new sounds just waiting for you to discover. Experiment and enjoy!
