The past two years were extremely active for us, as we expanded our show calendar to include some new festivals. Gary and Raul were on the road more than ever. This year was scheduled to be similar, and it started out strong with a great NAMM show, followed only a week later by Folk Alliance International. But then along came Covid-19, and it changed everything.
It looks like our traveling and exhibiting are done for the rest of this year, if not longer. Most of the events we’d have sponsored have been cancelled, and the rest probably will be. So now we’re burrowed in, letting our hair grow long. And making capos.
Yes, of course we’re making capos, and shipping them. Some of us are working from home, while a few are going in to the shop everyday, and we’re keeping the world supplied with capos. We know you’re out there woodshedding, writing new songs, making new arrangements, getting ready for live music to return.
We all have to be patient a while longer. I know everyone’s champing at the bit to open up, and I’m as anxious as anyone to see musicians get back to work, but the coronavirus is still on the rise. Please don’t let up your guard yet! Hone your craft in the woodshed for just a while longer, and we’ll see you out there when it’s truly safe.
